Real Madrid will be without the service of Eden Hazard ahead of their Group B UEFA Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk in Kiev on Tuesday.
Hazard was in action for the Los Blancos who lost 2-1 at home to Deportivo Alaves at the Afredo do Stefano Stadium.
However, the former Chelsea playmaker couldn’t complete the game after he was injured.
The club in a statement confirmed that following a test carried out on the player by the club medical services, he injured the rectus muscles of his right leg.
On Monday Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane named a 21 players in his squad for the must win game on Matchday 5 in Group B at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev with Hazard excluded.

The club also confirmed that the players successfully arrived Kiev ahead of the game on Monday.

“The Real Madrid travelling party, with 21 players in the squad, set off from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport on route to the Ukrainian capital.
“Upon arrival, the team travelled to the Hilton Kyiv Hotel, the base ahead of the match at the Kiev Olympic Stadium, where the team will be looking for a win to book their place in the Round of 16.”
