Napoli has validated that Victor Osimhen has already commenced physiotherapy and will be evaluated each day beforehand of the Serie A resumption.
Osimhen faces fitness race after he injured whilst on international responsibility with Super Eagles in their AFCON 4-4 qualifier draw against Sierra Leone.
The Napoli striker scored Super Eagles second goal against Sierra Leone at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
But could not complete the entire game as he was once substituted following a shoulder injury.
He missed the return leg after he allowed to return to his club by Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr.
Napoli in a statement said the forward underwent tests which showed consequences of dislocation anterior to the proper shoulder.
“Victor Osimhen underwent tests at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome, the instrumental tests and the clinical evaluation that showed results of dislocation anterior to the right shoulder.
“The player has already started physiotherapy and will be evaluated daily,”reads a statement on the club website.
Osimhen who joined the Serie A side from Lille this season is expected to be fit ahead of this weekend game against AC Milan.
