Dauda Lawal, the governor of Zamfara State, has denied speculations that he intends to switch from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor reiterated his dedication to the People’s Democratic Party, or PDP, in a message uploaded on his verified Facebook and X pages. He described himself as a legitimate member of the party.
“I am Dauda Lawal, a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Disregard the fake news from detractors determined to distract us from the RESCUE MISSION we have embarked on,” he said.

He emphasised that he is still focused on carrying out the mandate that the people of Zamfara State have given him, not on political diversions.
