Oluwole Oke, the Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Public Accounts Committee, has left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter to the PDP Chairman in Ward 7, Obokun Local Government Area, Osun State, the legislator, who represents the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, announced his resignation.
On Wednesday, Oke, a six-term lawmaker, declared his intention to leave the PDP.

“I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my membership of the
People’s Democratic Party, PDP, with immediate effect,” the lawmaker said.
He added that the decision was concluded after consultation and engagement with political associates, family and friends.

“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith,” he added in the letter.
Oke also copied the National Chairman, State Chairman and the Local Government Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
