The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) professor Mahmood Yakubu has disclosed that Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) will resume on June 28, 2021.
A statement from the Commission listed those eligible to participate in the exercise to include all Nigerians who are 18 years of age and above and have never been registered to vote.
Others according to the statement include any registered voter who has had any issue during accreditation at previous elections so as to rectify the problem.
Those who wish to transfer their voting location s from the present one to another the statement said are also eligible.
“All Registered voters who have lost their PVCs or whose PICS have been defaced or damaged.”
Finally the Commission said all registered voters who wish to correct their information such as names, dates of birth are also eligible to participate.
The statement indicated that the CVR would be suspended in Anambra State in August 2021 in view of the 6th November, 2020 election.
