Thousands of Youths from across the six geo-political zones have laid-siege on the resident of the former Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido asking him to join the 2023 presidential race.
The youths whom stormed the ex- governor’s house in his country home, Bamaina in Birninkudu local government area of Jigawa state from all the 36 states also congratulated him on his 73rd birthday.
Speaking at the venue, Comrade Sunusi Adamu Gama from North East said, everyone can testify that Nigeria is currently heading towards disaster, adding that it requires a strongman with vast experience and selfless commitment to liberate it from this lethal danger.
According to him Sule Lamido is among very few Nigerian leaders who have the capacity and audacity to confront the task of changing the narrative in the country from bad to good.
Also Mr Gambari Bashir Idowu from Southwest described Lamido as a true democrat who excavated Jigawa state from below Sea level to above Sea level to become a reference point in Nigeria.
According to him, Lamido is tested and trusted, therefore they are calling on well-meaning Nigerians to join in the clarion call for him to come and rescue the nation from the hands of amateur leaders.
The group promised to go round the country to mobilize 30 million people for actualizing Sule Lamido’s presidential bid which remain the only alternative for the nation.
“The survival of Nigeria as a single entity, with love unity, peace and progress is our ultimate goal and we all believed Sule Lamido can deliver us”. The youths declared.
In his response Alhaji Sule Lamido challenged the youths to be masters of their own destiny. ” It is time for you to act in the right direction, uphold sincerity, honesty, dedication, love for the nation and humanity to form a Conon fodder for Nigerian family.
According to him the major challenge in the country is how to restore love, unity and confidence among Nigerians as the country is currently polarized and divided along ethnic, religious and geographic sentimental lines.
This he said is being perpetrated by self-centered politicians describing the development as very unfortunate.
