The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has urged constituents to ensure that those elected at various offices give account of stewardship, adding that candidates who seek to represent the people must reel out achievements recorded in the previous mandates they held in trust for the people.
Ekwunife told The Union Nigeria that she would continue to give account of stewardship and bring positive development to constituents.
The federal lawmaker, who spoke during the new yam festival of the Umuawulu Community, reiterated her continued effective and responsive representation, noting that she will do everything to ensure constituents see the reward of their uninterrupted support.
While assuring that all projects she attracted to the zone would be completed, the lawmaker congratulated the community on the success of their new yam festival.
Ekwunife stated that the festival is a symbol of identity with deep significance in Igbo land. She further expressed that the occasion offered an opportunity to appreciate God for making the year’s harvest bountiful.
Speaking further, Ekwunife commended the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu (Eze-Udo II Umuawulu) for his giant strides in community development, praying God for more life on the throne.
