Olatunji Disu, the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, has pledged to eradicate criminals who take advantage of the difficult topography in the area to commit crimes.
After overseeing a thorough operational evaluation of high-crime regions such as the Guzape-Asokoro Bypass, Kpaduma, Kugbo, Gbaglape, and Nyanya Hills, he issued this statement.
Josephine Adeh, the command spokesman, said in a statement issued on Saturday that the visit came after recent cases of kidnapping and other criminal activity.
According to Adeh, the tour’s objectives were to map out criminal hiding places, find security flaws, and strengthen security procedures to stop future crimes.

Accompanied by senior officers and local vigilante groups, the FCT Police Chief engaged with community leaders and residents to develop effective interventions.
During the assessment, key flashpoints and escape routes used by criminals were identified, prompting the CP to pledge intensified patrols, enhanced surveillance, and structural deterrents to curb criminal activities.
“Criminal elements take advantage of isolated and difficult terrains such as Guzape Hills to commit unlawful activities, but we will not allow them to thrive. This proactive approach will neutralise their hideouts and strengthen security across the FCT,” CP Disu declared.
Disu also promised to deploy additional tactical personnel to the affected communities.
