All Progressives Congress (APC) spokesperson in Ogun state Tunde Oladunjoye, who was born in Ijebu-Itele in Ijebu East LGA, died on Friday.
Before his position as the party’s spokesperson, Oladunjoye was the chairman of Ijebu East LGA.
The governor of Ogun, Dapo Abiodun, called Oladunjoye’s passing a “dreadful and devastating loss.

The spokesman was a lively, “loyal politician” who passed away in his prime, according to Abiodun, who said in a statement late Friday that he heard the news with “disbelief and shock.”
“Receiving the news of the departure of our gallant, highly resourceful, uncommonly cerebral and hard-working party spokesman and consultant, Tunde Oladunjoye, was devastating for me,” the statement reads.
“As a party man and aide, Oladunjoye never believed in half measures: he went out of his way to defend the programmes, policies, philosophy and the image of the Ogun State Government under our leadership.

“He was an effective and accomplished spokesman whose brilliance was never in doubt; he was the voice of courage and easily the best spokesman Ogun APC has ever produced.
“His tenacity, doggedness, and loyalty were evident, and he contributed immensely to the growth of our party and the successes of this administration.”
