Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara joined other governors at the State House on Monday for Iftar, or the breaking of fast, with President Bola Tinubu.
Nyesom Wike, Fubara’s predecessor and minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was present at the ceremony.
Breaking fast with governors, ministers, security chiefs and other senior government officials is part of the annual rituals of the president.
Governors attended the Iftar in the State House, including Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Alex Otti of Abia, Nasir Idris of Kebbi, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara.

Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Babagana Zulum of Borno, Abba Yusuf of Kano, Bala Muhammad of Bauchi, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra, and Monday Okpebholo of Edo are among the other governors in attendance.

Senior government officials at the event include Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff (CoS) to the president, ministers, and service chiefs, among others.
