The National Assembly has postponed the resumption of plenary session for Senators and House of Representatives Members, which was scheduled for January 26, 2021 until February 9, 2021.
This was made known in a statement by the Clerk of National Assembly, Ojo Olatunde Amos.
The postponement was to enable the members of All Progressives Congress in National Assembly participate in the party’s registration and revalidation of members.
According to the Clerk: “This is to inform all distinguished Senators and Honorable members of the National Assembly that the resumption of plenary session earlier scheduled for Tuesday 26th January, 2021 is here by rescheduled for Tuesday 9th February, 2021.
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress has announced the postponement of the proposed nationwide membership registration and revalidation exercise slated to hold on Monday.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary of the Caretaker/ National Convention Planning Committee of the party, Senator John Akpanudoedehe in Abuja, on Saturday.
The statement said the exercise has been put on hold till further notice.
“We sincerely apologise on the postponement of the proposed All Progressives Congress party registration which was scheduled to take place on Monday 25th of January, 2021, now put on hold till further notice to be declared by the state chairman.
“We, therefore, implore all members and stakeholders, well-wishers and lovers willing to join our great party to put on hold till the directive come from above.
Thanks for your cooperation,” the statement said.
