The chosen airline for airlifting pilgrims from Jigawa State to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj is Max Air, says the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
In a statement released Thursday in Dutse, the state capital, by the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Babura, Director General Ahmed Labbo affirmed this decision.
The airlift of planned pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to start in May 2025, according to Labbo.
He conveyed his contentment with the arrangements, guaranteeing the pilgrims a peaceful and easy voyage.

The Director General gave everyone the reassurance that all required preparations had been completed, including getting the pilgrims’ uniforms and travel bags ready for pickup.
The DG emphasised the board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth experience for pilgrims at home and abroad.
He thus credited NAHCON’s commitment to upholding the greatest levels of efficiency, comfort, and safety for every pilgrim with the choice of Max Air.

As a result, Labbo expressed gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi for his ongoing guidance and assistance in making the Pilgrim Welfare Board a successful organisation for Hajj operations.
He went on to say that “the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains focused on providing exceptional services to pilgrims, ensuring a memorable and spiritual experience as the 2025 Hajj approaches.”
Building on the airline’s prior success in airlifting pilgrims, the DG also hinted that the choice of Max Air for the journey is anticipated to have positive outcomes.
