Foremost Pan-development Group, the Niger Delta Development Agenda (NDDA), has described the appointment and confirmation of Mr Festus Keyamo , SAN as necessary, owing to his wealth of experience and his capability for viable development.
In a statement in Port-Harcourt, the group’s conveners, Mr Karo Edor and Mr Iteveh Ekpokpobe said they were confident that Keyamo would bring his wealth of experience, expertise and passion to bear on the development of Nigeria.
They said, “We are delighted to congratulate you on your nomination as a minister in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We are confident that you will bring his wealth of experience, expertise and passion to bear on the development of our nation.
“Mr Festus Keyamo SAN, has distinguished himself as a lawyer, a human rights activist, a columnist and a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN). He has over the years, defended the rights and interests of the oppressed and marginalized in our society.
According to the group, “Keyamo has a rich history of challenging the excesses and abuses of power by the government and its agencies. He has championed the cause of democracy, justice and good governance in Nigeria. He has also served our nation with integrity, dedication and excellence as a former minister of state for Niger Delta Affairs and a former minister of state for Labour and Employment.“
“He initiated and implemented policies and programmes that have improved the lives and livelihoods of the people of the Niger Delta region and the Nigerian workers. He has fostered peace, stability and development in the region and the nation at large.”
