The Federal Government said on Wednesday that Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, will be public holidays in honour of the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr festival.
The Federal Government’s statement was delivered by Minister of Interior Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
He commended the Muslim community for successfully completing the fast during Ramadan.

Tunji-Ojo emphasised the value of love, forgiveness, and unity in creating a peaceful community and exhorted all Muslims to adopt the values of self-discipline, compassion, charity, and peace.

The Minister asked Nigerians to embrace this joyous occasion to offer prayers for the country’s peace, stability, and prosperity in a statement issued by Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
