Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesperson, has passed away, according to reports from Sahara Reporters.
His death was confirmed on Friday, March 7, 2025. Okupe, who had served as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign, resigned following his conviction for money laundering.
He left the Labour Party after the general elections in 2023 and thereafter turned into a fervent supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s government.

Later, after the general election in 2023, he left the Labour Party.
