Veteran Nollywood actress, Morenike Alausa aka Mama Ereko, has opened up about her late husband’s promiscuity and why she tolerated his abuse.
The actress had a lot to say about the emotional abuse experienced in her marriage.
In an interview with Talk2dunnis TV on YouTube, Mama Ereko explained that she had to bear with his infidelity because she was afraid of him.
“Sometimes my husband will send me on an errand because his girlfriends wanted to visit him in our house.
He used to bring them home to sleep over. He would sleep with them in my presence. I usually get angry, but I can’t challenge him because I was always afraid of him.”

During the interview, she also explained decided not to remarry to maintain her youthful looks.
While emphasizing the stress that comes with marriage, she noted that the physical, emotional, and sexual demands of marriage can accelerate ageing in women.
The 79-year-old actress said, “If I had remarried, you wouldn’t be admiring my elegant and beautiful look at my age.
“I didn’t remarry because the stress of intercourse makes people look older than their age. I don’t need a man again because I have already turned into a man. I can’t even remember how it feels to have sex anymore.”

Meanwhile, Veteran Nollywood actress Ayo Adesanya says her abusive marriage with her ex-husband made her an alcoholic.
The actress made this known while discussing her personal life and failed marriage in her latest interview with popular media personality Chude Jideonwo.
Ayo Adesanya narrated how her ex-husband stopped her from acting and threatened to pluck out her eyes with a knife.
The actress said she was abused for 10 years and couldn’t leave because of the shame of people saying she couldn’t keep a man.
