As part of efforts to reduce the pangs of flood on affected households, a tech company, DeSpace Protocol has donated relief materials to an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Delta State.
The company, DeSpace Protocol – A Web3 Platform Servicing the DeFi and NFT Ecosystem, made the presentation through its Marketing Leader, Mr. Martin Emamowho and other team members, at Isoko Centre School, IDP Camp, Oleh in Isoko South Local Area.
Speaking to newsmen during the event, Emamowho said, the essence of the visit and donation is to let all displaced persons know that we share in their pains and trying times, hence we have brought these items to ameliorate their sufferings.
“As a company, we need people alive to do business with. We also pray that the flood will in no time subside. I also encourage the flood victims to hold fast to faith because of the fact that they have their lives; hence there is still hope for a better future.”
Mr. Kingsley Agogo who received the items on behalf of the camp commended the initiative even as he called on well-meaning members of society to join hands with the good gestures. “We assure you that we are going to use the items judiciously to ensure that the IDPs are well taken care of.”
Some of the Items donated include: bags of garri, rice, beans, salts, cartoons of noodles, bread, yams, cartoons of detergents/ bar soaps, toiletries, analgesics for the elderly as well as drugs.
