WARRI: A graduating student of the Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara, in Ethiope East Local Government Area Of Delta State has reportedly died in a car accident along Ovade Road, in the Polytechnic town, due to over-speeding.
The Union Nigeria gathered that the incident occurred on Friday.
Sources said that, “a yet-to-be identified graduating student died in a lone car accident, on Friday.
“The incident happened along Ovade Road, in the polytechnic town, due to over-speeding.
“We don’t know how it occurred, but the victim appeared to have been flung out of the car when it somersaulted.
“The student (deceased) would have graduated that very day been Friday. The accident car got damaged.”
When contacted for comment, the State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the incident.
She said, “It was a lone motor accident. The vehicle seemed to have failed brake, ran into the bush and somersaulted. He died,” the PPRO said.
