A serving commissioner on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Mr. Ikechukwu Akozor, is confirmed dead.
The late Akazor was the Commissioner representing Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC.
This is the second death recorded in the DESOPADEC, of serving commissioners, since the demise of Joyce Overah.
The Union Nigeria learnt that Akozor reportedly died on Thursday morning in a hospital in Asaba, Delta state capital.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has announced the death on his social media handle.
He said, “We just lost Desopadec Commissioner Representing Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality, Mr Ikechukwu Akozor.
“His death is a sad one to Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and Ndokwa nation. May his soul RIP.”
