Sir Arthur Okowa, the father of the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is dead.
The death is coming barely hours after the news of the death of Majority Leader of the the Delta State of Assembly, Mr. Tim Owhefere.
The patriarch died at the Federal Medical Centre Asaba at 87 years after brief medical complications, The Union Nigeria learnt.
The death has not be officially confirmed by the family.
Efforts to reach the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Olisa Ifejika as well as the Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu proved abortive.
Ifejika did not answer his call, while Aniagwu was indisposed to speak.
Arthur Okowa was born in 1932 in Owa Alero, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
