Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central, has stated that she is unconcerned with efforts by her constituents to recall her from the Senate.
In an exclusive phone conversation with the media on Wednesday, the suspended lawmaker was represented by Israel Arogbonlo, her media assistant.
According to The Intercept, some residents in Natasha’s constituency declared that they had started the recall process against her.

Some voters registered for the recall procedure, which was observed in the Okehi Local Government Area on Wednesday.
According to Nura Ibrahim, one of the voters, the exercise is being conducted across party lines because of the rising discontent with Akpoti-Uduaghan’s performance, especially when it comes to tackling important issues like infrastructure, education, and poverty.
The attempt to have Akpoti-Uduaghan recalled, however, will not stand, says her assistant.
“Whatever you are seeing is being sponsored by the fifth columnists. We have no reason to want to join issues with anybody. As far as we are concerned, the recall attempts wouldn’t stand.
“We are not under any form of pressure and we will never be. I hope you recall there was a protest by our actual constituents two days ago that there was no plan to recall anybody,” the aide said.
