Jimmy Adekoya, a former president of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF) at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), has responded to netizens after marrying his male partner Seamus O’Donovan.
The Microbiology student tied the knot with his partner in the United Kingdom.
Photos of the wedding ceremony recently surfaced online, with Jimmy flaunting his ring beside his partner, prompting social media reactions.

One user, identified as Popo, claimed to have known the former students’ campus fellowship president during their university days and expressed shock at his transformation.
Popo shared throwback photos of Jimmy and recounted how he used to be an ardent Christian and president of the RCF.

the user wrote.

Jimmy Adekoya responded to the Popo’s tweet by reposting it on his Instagram story with the caption:
“When your only offense is being a gay man who loves Jesus”.
Meanwhile, we earlier reported that Muhsin Hendricks, the world’s first openly gay imam, has been shot dead in South Africa.
The 57-year-old cleric ran a mosque in Cape Town intended as a safe haven for gay and other marginalised Muslims.
He was killed on Saturday morning after the car in which he was travelling near the southern city of Gqeberha was ambushed.
News of Hendricks’ death sent shockwaves through the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. His death has also prompted an outpouring of tributes from across the globe.
