The National Universities Commission has approved the introduction of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Shariah for the Bayero University in Kano.
The Union Nigeria understands that the commission has also approved 3 affiliate programmes for the Federal College of Education Kano.
The three affiliate courses are B.A. (Ed.) Islamic Studies; B.Sc. (Ed.) Biology Education and B.Sc (Ed.) Chemistry Education.
This was disclosed in the weekly bulletin issued by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board in Abuja on Monday.
The NUC, which is the regulatory body for universities in Nigeria, is responsible for the accreditation and approval of new courses in federal, state and private universities. (Source: Kano Focus)
