Factional President, Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Ibrahim Gusau was allegedly, in the early hours of Friday, nabbed in the act of examination malpractice in Abuja.
Mr Gusau, a 200 level direct entry Law student of Baze University, Abuja, was allegedly caught in the act while sitting for Legal Method, a 100 level course which falls under his curriculum.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with The Union Nigeria, Gusau after been apprehended by security operatives attached to the varsity, cut loose and made away.
The eyewitness, said frantic efforts by security operatives to catch up with him after a hot chase met waterloo as the AFN president, like lightening dashed off.
Our source, however, noted that the incident was duly captured by the school’s close circuit security cameras.
The Union Nigeria reached out to the University’s hotline on their website for reaction or confirmation of the allegation. But the respondent denied knowledge of the event.
She said the hotline was only for admission inquiries adding that all other enquiries be channeled directly to the varsity’s management.
When asked to make the telephone number for such inquiry available, she instead instructed The Union Nigeria to get the number from the same source that released the scoop of the story.
I had Issue With Lecturer Who Said I will See – Gusau
Meanwhile, When Mr Ibrahim Gusau was contacted via telephone, he denied the incident.
According to him, “I am not involved in that. There is a lecturer I had an issue with and she said I would see. So, I am surprised.”
“Did you call the lecturer or did you call the school? And they told you what? I am telling you it is not true.”
“Let them confirm to you. You see when you get someone and you say the person is involved in malpractice, you get evidence for everything.”
“I have been going through accusations like this is my normal life, were accusations upon accusations have been made against me.”
“Anyway, in an answer to you, I am confirming to you that it is not true.” Gusau stated.
