Popular Nigerian skit maker Samuel Perry, aka Broda Shaggi, has shared his thoughts about women, marriage and family life in general.
The performer spoke out about his personal life on the podcast Gold Room with Iyabo Ojo.
Shaggi stated in the interview that he tries to safeguard his private life since it is essential to him.
The content creator revealed that, even though he supports feminism, he has certain standards for the lady he would marry.
He said it is the reason he prefers small weddings to elaborate ones. Adding that he believes in love, family, and raising children.

“I am not a fan of big weddings. Even if I am going to get married, I am not a fan of big weddings,” he said.
“I do not know if you have noticed, I keep my personal life out of social media space. Because my personal life is very important to me and I just want to protect it.
But I believe in love. I believe in one-man-one-woman type of love, in family and in raising my own kids.
I am going to have my own family by God’s grace but not very soon. There is nothing like getting old. I do tell people, you do not need to rush into marriage.
Ladies right now, feel we’re all the same, men and women. I’m a feminist as well. I believe in equal share. I believe in equal power for both genders. But I just feel there is a certain level of responsibility, on both parts, that a lady should give her man, which is very important. That doesn’t mean the man should maltreat her,” he said.
Broda Shaggi is a University of Lagos (UNILAG) creative arts graduate.
His initial rise to fame came from the short comedic skits he shared on social media.
He has also appeared in a number of TV series and films.
