Afrobeats singer Spyro has reacted to rumours that he is the father of Nengi Hampson’s newborn.
Nengi recently announced that she welcomed her first child in February.
Spyro, who has previously revealed that he has a huge crush on Nengi, posted her video, congratulating her on the birth of her child.
His congratulatory post sparked speculation that he was the father of the newborn baby.

Reacting to the speculation via his Instagram story, Spyro wrote
“Nigerians, very ignorant set. Exactly why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer… But then again, what do I even know?
“Congratulations again, my Nengs.”
A few weeks ago, it was rumoured that Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri was responsible for Nengi’s pregnancy, but the governor dismissed the rumours as baseless.
He claimed it was the handiwork of his political enemies.

She disclosed this via her official Instagram page on Sunday, March 9th, describing it as ‘the purest form of love’.
According to her post, her daughter was born on February 21st.
Nengi posted clips from her pregnancy journey up until the moment of her baby’s birth.
“My greatest blessing, my heart in human form, my purpose.
“God knew I needed you, my baby…I love you more than words could ever explain.
“It’s us forever,”
she wrote.
In February, Nengi Hampson officially confirmed her pregnancy. She also addressed the rumours about the paternity of her unborn child.
Taking to X on February 11, 2025, Nengi ended the speculations linking her pregnancy to the governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri.
She expressed her frustration with the persistent rumours, emphasising that the speculations not only affect her but also involve individuals she deeply respects.
