Nigerian singer Orezi has recounted how a woman he met at an Abuja club gifted him 30 million Naira after a sexual encounter
Speaking in a recent interview with Echo Room, the Ogede hitmaker shared that he wasn’t dating the woman but had only hooked up with her.
He claimed that many of his colleagues also enjoy such privileges.
He said,
“I wouldn’t say she paid me for sex. She only appreciated me for satisfying her. The highest amount I have received from a woman is N30 million. It was 2016 in Abuja.

She gave me the money because she liked me. If you like a lady, won’t you spend on her? We weren’t dating, but we had something going on. I didn’t ask her for the money. She gave it to me willingly as a fine boy. We clubbed together, had fun, and went home together. It was one nice aboki [Hausa] woman. I was in Abuja, and my return flight to Lagos was the next day.
I was shocked. I wasn’t expecting it. When I got to Lagos, she sent a message to check up on me and requested my account details. I sent her my account details, and she sent me N30 million. When I showed my friends the alert, they were shocked that a woman could gift a man such an amount.
A lot of male celebrities enjoy the same privilege. I feel like it’s a normal thing. I know a couple of artists who do. I’m sure they enjoy the same privilege. The same way there’s ‘fine girl privilege,’ there’s also the privilege of being a celebrity.”
Orezi also revealed that he once promised a lady, whom he was in a romantic relationship with a house but failed to deliver.
He made the revelation while reacting to the Lamborghini saga involving Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje.
According to him, it is okay for men not to fulfil their promises to women, emphasising that women also often renege on their promise to be faithful.
He said,
“I’m not part of the Lamborghini boys. I have never promised a lady anything worth N300 million. Am I crazy?
“I once promised a lady a house but I didn’t deliver. Why would I buy her a house? For what? Ladies also promise to be faithful to one partner and they often fail. So, let every gender keep promising. It’s a dog eat dog world”.
