Nollywood star Eniola Badmus has broken her silence amid a feud with actress Laide Bakare.
Taking to her Instagram page, Eniola penned a reflective and poetic response. The message did not directly address the harsh accusations levelled against her, but it offered a spiritual and emotional pivot away from conflict.
“Life has a way of teaching us that true strength lies not in conflict, but in unity,”
She began.
Without naming Laide Bakare, Eniola appeared to acknowledge their shared past and the recent tension that has gripped social media and Nollywood circles.

“Though we may have walked different paths and faced moments of tension, I believe it’s time to let love lead.”
Her message resonated with a larger truth.
“There is no need for jealousy when we can all succeed. Your success does not diminish mine, just as mine does not take away from yours. Let us continue to collaborate, to lift each other, and to build something greater than what we could ever achieve alone.”
This seems to be a subtle rebuttal to Laide’s earlier claims that she was responsible for Eniola’s rise in the film industry and that envy had driven the recent altercation. Instead of affirming or denying those points, Eniola Badmus reframed the narrative.
“Let us avoid conflict, not because we are weak, but because we are wise. Peace is the path to progress, and love is the light that shows us the way.”
She concluded with a hopeful tone.
“Here’s to better days, guided by understanding, shared goals, and mutual respect.”
Eniola’s statement comes after Laide Bakare released an explosive video, claiming that Eniola had physically harassed her at a recent event and had a history of sending insulting DMs and provoking her in public.
Laide accused Eniola of attempting to damage her reputation and labelled her as “evil,” “bitter,” and “jealous.”
She further claimed that she had helped Eniola early in her career and expressed her disappointment that their long-term history had soured.
The video went viral instantly, drawing both support and criticism from fans of both actresses.
