Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji, has dragged critics who age-shamed her on the social media app, X.
The film star recently took to her X page to share a photo of herself while showcasing her painting.
However, in the comment section, a user identified as Callendron remarked that Nnaji looked “older”.
“Mummy you don old o,” the user wrote.
Nnaji replied, “Daddy, I do not wish it on you,” implying that she wouldn’t want him to experience aging.

Another user commented that the actress was “finally growing old” after being a “fine wine” for years.
“You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old,”
the user wrote.
Genevieve Nnaji acknowledged the inevitability of aging, saying she would grow even older and eventually die “if I’m lucky”.
“It get’s worse bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die, if I’m lucky,” she replied.

This isn’t the first time Nnaji has made headlines for her social media presence.
In January 2022, she unfollowed everyone on Instagram and subsequently deleted all her posts on the platform, sparking rumours about her mental health.
However, Nnaji later reflected on mental health, emphasizing its spiritual aspect and encouraging people to get rebaptised.
“Mental health is more spiritual than it is physical. Rededicate your life to the God that you serve. Get rebaptized,”
she wrote.
