Famous Nigerian actress and producer, Funke Akindele, says she is a feminist, however, she doesn’t support disrespectful women.
Akindele made this revelation while advising the wife of a popular skit maker, Kamo State.
Speaking in a viral video on social media, the actress noted that despite her feminist nature, she does not encourage women to disrespect their husbands.
While also urging men to treat women “specially”, she noted the importance of women’s economic power in their home.

“I’m a feminist but I don’t support a woman disrespecting her husband. Make sure you do what is right.
“I believe that we are not the weaker gender. Men are supposed to treat women specially with respect. Also men should not feel a woman belongs to the kitchen and talked to anyhow.
“We women are strong, and bold. Our economic power is very important, that is why we should make sure we have the power and protect the power so we can support our husbands.”
Meanwhile, the thespian has opened up about the traits she fancies in a man.
Funke made this known while discussing her secrets to success and her passionate approach to love.
Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, the actress who described herself as a lover girl, said:
“I love intelligent men.
I’m a lover girl who love seriously. Because I’m a bit of an extremist, I go the extra mile. I’m the type that can wake up and just buy my spouse a car.
The green light for me is someone that pampers and checks on me genuinely. I love a positive guy and intelligent men.
If you’ve given up on love, please it will find you. Just take a chill pill, and do not force it,” she said.
