Nollywood actress Pat Ugwu recently passed on at the age of 35.
The demise of the actress was announced by her colleague Emeka Okoye on his Instagram page on Wednesday February 5th.
Expressing shock about Pat Ugwu’s sudden departure, Okoye shared her funeral details.
Speaking about his fears, the actor described the recent spate of losses in the Nigeria movie industry as unusual.
“Rest in peace sis. Pat Ugwu. So we no get to work again? Death why? Rest in peace PAT. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord.

“God please protect all my colleagues especially those I’m close to. This unusual Death is frightening. I proclaim life to everyone close to me in this 2025 in the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.”

We earlier reported that Dr. Ikenna Erinne, a Nigerian cardiologist based in the United States, has reportedly ended his life.
His death is the aftermath of a legal ruling that ordered him to pay $15,000 in monthly child support.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, January 26, 2025, after a prolonged and contentious custody battle with his ex-wife.
Reports indicate that the 36 years old cardiologist had been embroiled in a lengthy divorce case that included disputes over child custody and financial obligations.

The court’s decision, which favoured his ex-wife, was said to have placed an immense financial burden on him.
A Nigerian American, Clayton Udo, confirmed the incident in a post on X.com.
In the post, he revealed that the legal process had devastated Dr. Erinne both financially and emotionally.
“The abuse of African men in the USA must come to an end. In a deeply troubling case, Dr. Ikenna Erinne, an American-trained cardiologist, allegedly took his own life after an American court ordered him to pay his ex-wife $15,000 monthly, following a prolonged and contentious divorce case.
