Nigerian singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, will be featured as one of the artists on British monarch King Charles III’s music playlist.
The monarch unveiled his eclectic musical tastes in a new Apple Music show, The King’s Music Room, recorded in his Buckingham Palace office.
The playlist spans disco, reggae, and Afrobeats. It also features artists from across the Commonwealth, including Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, Davido, and Raye.
The show is set to air next Monday in commemoration of Commonwealth Day.

The head of the Commonwealth described the playlist as the soundtrack of his life.
“Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. I know that is also the case for so many others,” Charles III said.
He added:
“So this is what I particularly wanted to share songs which have brought me joy. This seemed such an interesting and innovative way to celebrate this year’s Commonwealth Day.”
In October 2023, Davido and his wife Chioma Adeleke, welcomed their twins in the United States.
In an interview on BET, the singer said people told him it would be challenging for him and his wife to raise the twins.
Davido said against all odds, his experience has been positive, describing it as a “blessing”.
The 31-year-old music star said his newborn babies are calm, adding that they “do not cry”.
“I remember when they came, everybody was like we have twins and that it is going to be hard,” he said.
“But my twins are blessed. They don’t even cry. They are just calm, and they are just growing so fast.
“It is just a blessing. Thank God for everything really.”
The couple took a social media break in October 2022 following the death of Ifeanyi, their first child.
