Tina Knowles, the mother of Grammy award-winning actress Beyoncé, has revealed that her daughter has quit acting.
It has been more than since 10 years Beyoncé starred in a movie but she featured as a voice actress in 2019’s animation ‘Lion King’ and 2024’s ‘Mufasa’ in which she was joined by her daughter Blue Ivy.
Her mother shared that the diva has no plans to return to acting.

Sharing a clip of Beyoncé as Etta James via her social media, Tina captioned:
“Cadillac Records is still one of my favourite movies and it makes me miss the fact that my child decided not to continue with movies. She killed it in this movie. And she so unselfishly donated her salary to the Phoenix house.”
Before quitting acting, she starred in blockbusters like ‘Carmen: A Hip Hopera,’ ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember,’ Oscar-winning ‘Dreamgirls’ and a few more classics.
Beyoncé received her first-ever win for Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
She secured a triumphant win at the 2025 Grammys with her country album, ‘Cowboy Carter’ clinching the Album of the Year award on Sunday, February 2nd.
Beyoncé becomes the first black woman to win ‘Album of the Year’ at the Grammys this century.
She is the first black woman to win ‘Album of the Year’ at the Grammys since Lauryn Hill in 1999.
‘Cowboy Carter’ also won the Best Country Album of the Year, making Beyoncé the first black woman to win a Grammy award in a country category in over 50 years.
She is the most awarded in the Grammys’ history with a total of 35 awards.
Last year, her husband Jay-Z openly criticised the Recording Academy’s sense of judgment, pointing out that despite Beyoncé being the most awarded person in the Grammy’s history, she has never won the Album of the Year category.
