TEC Engineering Company (Nigeria) Limited, has condemned allegations of the Kano State Government, Governor Umar Ganduje, over the frailty of the Kano State Kofar/Nasarawa Flyover, describing them as fallacious.
The company’s statement was contained in a letter response to an enquiry letter sent to them by a former Kano State commissioner for works, Engr. Abba K. Yusuf on behalf of the previous administration of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Governor Ganduje had ordered the demotion of the Kofar/Nasarawa Flyover constructed by TEC Engineering Company (Nigeria) Limited and commissioned in 2015 by former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Ganduje alleged that the bridge had ‘Structural Defects’ making it substandard and posed safety risk to its users.
In the letter signed by the Managing Dierector of the company, Engr. Lin Zheng Liang, reinstated the company’s assurance that the bridge was constructed in good quality in accordance with engineering specifications and design.
He said the structural work was guaranteed for a minimum of 80years at least since the date of completion in 2015.
“The company’s engineers and other professional have made their investigation and confirmed that the bridge is still in good condition and no structural defect was defected.”
